The short version: if you sign up, I keep your email address and use it to send you occasional Szuga news, like when orders open or a new bake launches. You can unsubscribe any time. I never sell it or share it.
Szuga is a micro bakery run by me, Alice Janusz, a sole trader in London. I'm the person responsible for your data (the "controller", in data protection speak).
You can reach me any time at alice@szuga.co.uk.
Just your email address, and only if you type it into the "Know when we open" form. This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking.
To send you occasional emails about Szuga, like when orders open, new products and limited-edition bakes.
I rely on your consent to do this, which you give by signing up. You can take it back whenever you like (see below).
Sign-ups are collected using Google Forms and kept in a private Google Sheet that only I can access. Google stores this data on my behalf and may hold it on servers outside the UK, with legal safeguards in place to protect it.
I don't share your email with anyone else.
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. If I stop sending emails altogether, I'll delete the list.
You can ask me to:
Just email alice@szuga.co.uk. There's no charge, and I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
When ordering opens I'll update this notice to cover orders and cake commissions. The date at the top will always show the latest version.
